WBO super middleweight champion Arthur Abraham (43-4, 29 KOs) defeated former champion Robert Stieglitz (47-4-1, 27 KOs) by a sixth-round stoppage on Saturday night at Gerry Weber Stadium in Halle, Germany.

In their fourth fight, billed as the "Final Showdown," the German fighter nicknamed "King Arthur" punished countryman Stieglitz with hard shots before dropping him with a right hand. Although Stieglitz beat the count, he was badly hurt and his trainer held up a towel in the corner to stop the fight.

Stieglitz was busier in the early rounds but Abraham’s huge power was the difference. The champion knocked down Stieglitz with a left jab in the fourth and continued to dominate the action until he finished it in the sixth.

In the first fight, Abraham won the WBO title by unanimous decision in August 2012. However, in their rematch Stieglitz stopped Abraham to reclaim the belt.  Abraham went 2-1 ahead in March 2014, when he scored a knockdown in the 12th round on his way to a split-decision victory in a close fight that set up the fourth encounter.

Abraham has now won seven straight fights since his loss to Stieglitz in March 2013.
