Anthony Joshua to defend IBF title against Dominic Breazeale
IBF heavyweight champion Anthony Joshua (16-0, 16 KOs) will make his first world title defence against undefeated American Dominic Breazeale (17-0, 15 KOs) on June 25 at the O2 Arena in London.
The Briton won the IBF belt when he demolished American Charles Martin inside two rounds at the same venue earlier this month.
Joshua has stopped all but one of his opponents within three rounds since turning professional in October 2013.
Breazeale has won all 17 of his professional fights, 15 inside the distance, but was knocked down by Amir Mansour in his last fight in January before forcing a stoppage in five rounds.
Joshua said: "My coaches have watched Breazeale for a long time and they knew he was going to be a player in the division and now we get the chance to go to war on June 25.
"It's sure to be explosive, both of us like to let our hands go and score knockouts."
Joshua is also aiming to set up fights with rival world champions Tyson Fury and Deontay Wilder.
"I am looking to get past Breazeale in style and continue moving towards the unification fight everybody is waiting for."
On the undercard, British contenders George Groves (23-3, 18 KOs) and Martin Murray (32-3-1, 15 KOs) will fight in a WBA super middleweight title eliminator.
