Broner-Malignaggi set for June 22

WBA Welterweight champion Paulie Malignaggi will face WBC lightweight champion Adrien Broner on June 22 from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn,  New York.

Even in moving up two divisions to 147 lbs you would think Broner (26-0) would beat Malignaggi (32-4) with the more power, more speed, better defensive skills and better inside game.

Broner is taking alot of flak for moving past the light welterweight division and bypass fights with the likes of Danny Garcia, Amir Khan, Zab Judah, Lamont Peterson and Lucas Matthysse in order to fight what many boxing fans feel is the weakest of the welterweight champions in Malignaggi. 

What is not known is whether Broner will stay at 147 lbs after the fight or move back down to 135 lbs to defend his WBC strap against poor opponents.
