Brook faces Mexican Alvaro Robles on March 15 as he prepares for IBF shot

Kell Brook (31-0) will fight Mexican Alvaro Robles (17-2) on March 15 at the ECHO Arena.
Undefeated Brook warms up for his IBF welterweight title shot later this year and aims for his 32nd consecutive win against the big-hitting Robles, who has a fairly high stoppage ratio (78.5%).
However, Robles, who has never fought outside of Mexico, has been stopped twice and is not expected to upset Brook's world title plans.
"Kell will be warming up for his IBF title shot against Shawn Porter with a fight in Liverpool on March 15," confirmed promoter Eddie Hearn in the Daily Mail.
"I can reveal here that it will be against the Mexican welterweight champion Alvaro Robles, who has 17 wins (15 KOs) and two losses. If Kell wins that, Shawn Porter will have to defend his IBF world title against him this summer."
The ‘Mersey Beat’ card is topped by Tony Bellew’s cruiserweight debut against experienced Russian Valery Brudov.
There should be plenty of action at super middleweight with Callum ‘Mundo’ Smith (9-0) taking on Georgian Mikheil Avakyan (21-11-4), and his brother, British champion Paul Smith, also fighting in a ten rounder. Rocky Fielding, who could face Smith for his British title later in the year, is due to defend his Commonwealth belt against former champion Charles Adamu.
Dagenham lightweight Kevin Mitchell (36-2) takes an eight rounder in preparation for a probable appearance on the Froch v Groves II undercard at Wembley on May 31, and rising light welterweight talent Robbie Davies Jnr (4-0) takes his fifth professional fight against Oldham’s Ashley Mayall (4-3).
