WBO light heavyweight champion Nathan Cleverly (25-0) expects to fight IBF holder American Bernard Hopkins (53-6-2) soon.

Hopkins, 48 beat Tavoris Cloud in New York on Saturday, breaking his own record as boxing's oldest world champion.

Welshman Cleverly tops the bill at Wembley Arena against Robert Krasniqi on April 20 and believes a victory over his mandatory challenger will pave the way to face Hopkins.

"A potential fight between myself and Hopkins is inevitable now, I think we'll definitely get that fight on and I believe it will be after my next fight. Provided I get rid of this Krasniqi now...then I'm convinced that the Hopkins fight will be after that," he said.

Also on the Wembley bill London's Kevin Mitchell will make his comeback in a 10 rounder at lightweight.

Dereck Chisora will make his return to the ring, subject to regaining his British Boxing Board of Control license.

Liam Walsh will also feature defending his Commonwealth super featherweight title.
