DeGale faces Stjepan Bozic on June 8 at Glow
British super middleweight contender James DeGale (15-1) is scheduled to face Stjepan Bozic (26-6) of Croatia on June 8 at Glow, Bluewater in Kent.
The fight comes less than a month after DeGale stopped Sebastien Demers in two rounds in Canada, which served as his North American debut.
"I'm excited to be boxing at Glow again, it was a tremendous atmosphere for my last fight and it's a great venue to headline at," said DeGale.
The 2008 Olympic gold medalist DeGale was originally scheduled to defend his WBC Silver super middleweight title against Alexander Brand at Glow, Bluewater in March, now defends his title against Bozic at the same venue - live on Channel 5.
DeGale aims on building on momentum towards a world title opportunity after dominating former IBO super middleweight champion Fulgencio Zuniga in Hull back in December and then demolishing Demers, and isn't taking anyone lightly.
"I'm not overlooking anyone, whoever gets put in front of me I'm training for like it was a world title fight," DeGale said. "I know that there are big names out there, but the first thing I have to do is take care of Stjepan Bozic on June 8th."
Featured on the undercard at the Glow will be WBC International super bantamweight champion Kid Galahad (13-0), middleweight sensation Chris Eubank Jr (9-0) - son of former two-division champ Chris Eubank and current World Youth super heavyweight champion Hughie Fury (4-0) - cousin of heavyweight contender Tyson Fury.
