DeGale fight postponed

The WBC Silver super middleweight title fight between Britain's James DeGale and Columbian Alexander Brand on March 23 at Glow, Bluewater in Kent has been postponed until a still to be determined date.

There's no word about why DeGale-Brand is being pushed back but rumors are the ticket sales were less spectacular for the event.

Hennessey Sports and James DeGale will be issuing a statement in the coming days regarding the reschduled date and ticket situation.

Promotor Mick Hennessey could even cut his losses and look to pair DeGale-Brand on one of Tyson Fury's undercards instead of expecting DeGale to sell tickets. It seems DeGale doesn't have the star appeal to pull in the crowds, something you could put down to soft matchmaking. At this point you would think DeGale should have stepped up against better quality opposition.
