WBO super bantamweight champion Nonito Donaire (37-3, 24 KOs) demolished Hungarian fighter Zsolt Bedak (25-2, 8 KOs) inside three rounds at the Cebu City Sports Complex in Cebu, Philippines.

Donaire scored three knockdowns in front of his home country to retain his WBO title for the first time in his second reign.

The Filipino was cautious in the first round working patiently behind his left jab, but he soon started to stagger Bedak with big shots in the second and dropped him twice in the round.

Then Donaire finished the fight in the third with a series of hard lefts which dropped Bedak again. Referee Russell Mora sensed the challenger didn’t want to continue and waved off the bout at 2:44 of the round.
