George Groves (19-2, 15 KO’s) returns from his knockout defeat to Carl Froch against Frenchman Christopher Rebrasse (22-2-3, 6 KO’s) on September 20 in a WBC super middleweight title eliminator at the Wembley Arena in London.

The event sees Sauerland, Groves' promoter, stage its first UK show, billed as 'Return of the Saint'. Tickets go on sale this Friday.

Groves signed for Sauerland promotions ahead of his rematch with Froch and has remained in world contention, despite failing to take the WBA and IBF belts from 'The Cobra'.

The Hammersmith man was sensationally stopped by a huge right hand in the 8th round at the national stadium in May, but will look to banish his Wembley woes and secure another world title shot.

At the press conference today, Groves said: “It is great to be back at Wembley and back to world-class boxing.

"Last time I was here it didn't go as well as I would've hoped but I think I have proved I belong here.

"Sometimes it takes just one punch and that is what ended my ambition to be world champion back in May but we are back on the road - the journey will continue.

"Win this fight and I am back in the picture, that is vitally important - I can't wait to be world champion and it will happen in the near future. It is good to be back in boxing and back in at the deep end."

Victory over European champion Rebrasse will earn 'Saint George' a shot at the WBC super-middleweight belt, currently held by Sakio Bika, who defends against Anthony Dirrell on August 16.
