WBO super flyweight champion Naoya Inoue (11-0, 9 KOs) stopped Thai challenger Petchbarngborn Kokietgym (11-0, 9 KOs) in the 10th round on Saturday night at the Sky Arena, Zama, Japan.
The Japanese fighter retained his 115-pound belt for the third time as he ended Kokietgym's 16-fight winning streak in a one-sided beating.
Kokietgym landed some shots of his own but Inoue's solid head and body blows dominated the action.
At the end of the 10th, an onslaught of punches with a finishing right hand to the chin dropped Kokietgym, who barely got back up but was too hurt to continue and referee Mark Nelson waved off the fight.
