Kenny Bayless has been appointed to referee the mega-fight between Floyd Mayweather and Manny Pacquiao, who meet on May 2 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

The Nevada State Athletic Commission opted for the veteran referee to be the third man in the ring, while the judges for the fight will be Burt Clements, Dave Moretti and Glenn Feldman.

American Bayless, 64, is no stranger to either Mayweather or Pacquiao, he officiated Mayweather's rematch against Marcos Maidana, as well as against Canelo Alvarez, Shane Mosley and Oscar De La Hoya. He also refereed Pacquiao in his rematch with Timothy Bradley, his bouts with Mosley, Miguel Cotto, Ricky Hatton and his second and fourth fights with Juan Manuel Marquez.

Bayless will be paid $25,000 and the three American judges will receive $20,000 each.
