Klitschko-Fury postponed
WBA, WBO and IBF heavyweight champion Wladimir Klitschko's world title defence against Britain's Tyson Fury on October 24 in Dusseldorf, Germany has been postponed.
Ukrainian Klitschko has pulled out due to a tendon tear in the left calf. A new date will be announced next week and the fight will remain at the same venue.
Klitschko said: "I’m sorry to inform you that I have to postpone my fight against Tyson Fury due a minor injury. I’m working hard to reschedule the fight and as soon as I know I will keep you posted about the new date."
Fury said: "Well it’s official Klitschko has pulled out of the fight with an injury in his leg, it’s a bit funny as I predicted this would happen!!! Don’t feel sorry for me. I’ll be OK. I’m sorry for the fans again as they are the biggest losers here. Flights & hotels travel, sorry guys."
