Lee Haskins to fight Stuart Hall on Golovkin-Brook card
IBF bantamweight champion Lee Haskins (33-3, 14 KOs) will fight Stuart Hall (20-4-2, 7 KOs) in a rematch on September 10 on the Gennady Golovkin-Kell Brook undercard at The O2 in London.
Haskins defends his belt for a second time when he takes on fellow Briton Hall, who he outpointed in 2012 for the European title.
The Bristol boxer stopped Ryosuke Iwasa in six rounds in June 2015 to win the title and successfully defended it with a one-sided points win over Ivan Morales in May.
Hall aims to regain the same title he claimed when he defeated Vusi Malinga in December 2013, before he lost to Paul Butler in his second defence in June 2014.
"September 10 has just become even bigger with this domestic world title grudge match added to the card," said promoter Eddie Hearn. "It’s a real 50/50 clash and with the domestic 118-pound scene really hotting up, it’s a must win for both fighters."
Also on the card, former Team GB star Charlie Edwards (7-0, 3 KOs) challenges Johnriel Casimero (22-3, 14 KOs) for the IBF flyweight title.
With little experience as a pro, Edwards takes a huge step up in class of opponent.
Filipino Casemiro will be making his first title defence after he knocked out Amnat Ruenroeng in the fourth round to claim the IBF belt in May.
