Matthew Macklin (31-5, 20 KOs) will face Jorge Sebastian Heiland (24-4-2, 12 KOs) for the WBC International middleweight title in an world title eliminator at The 3 Arena in Dublin on November 15.

Macklin and Heiland were due to meet  on August 30 at the National Stadium in Dublin, but the fight was postponed after Macklin's trainer, Jamie Moore, suffered gunshot wounds during an incident in Marbella, Spain.

Macklin, 32, returned to action in Germany a fortnight ago on the undercard of super middleweight titlist Arthur Abraham's defence against Paul Smith, an 8-round decision win over Jose Yebes, in his first fight since December and can take a huge step towards facing Puerto Rican legend and WBC champion Miguel Cotto if he can see off Heiland.

Heiland, 27, is fourth in the WBC rankings and won the WBC International title in November with a fifth-round knockout of Billi Godoy in his native Argentina.

A packed bill in Dublin will also see bitter middleweight rivals Spike O’Sullivan and Anthony Fitzgerald lock horns, while Commonwealth super-flyweight champion Kal Yafai defends his title against Luke Wilton and Michael Sweeney and Ian Tims meet again for the Irish cruiserweight title.

Dubliners Luke Keeler, Patrick Hyland and Declan Geraghty will also be in action, along with Stourbridge’s Sam Eggington.
