Shane Mosley (48-9-1, 40 KOs) claimed a 6th round stoppage victory over Ricardo Mayorga (31-9-1, 25 KOs) on Saturday night at the Forum in Inglewood, California.

Nearly seven years after Mosley stopped the Nicaraguan fighter with one second left in the 12th round of their first fight, the American veteran stopped Mayorga again, this time with one second left in the 6th.

Mosley, 43, was landing hard shots from the start, but Mayorga, 41, took them well and came back with some punches of his own.

That was until Mosley landed a vicious left hook to the body in the 6th, that sent Mayorga to the canvas and referee Raul Caiz Jr counted him out at 2:59 of the round.

Mosley, who was fighting for the first time since he lost to Australian Anthony Mundine in November 2013, weighed in at 159 pounds for this fight, but said he plans on continuing his career at light middleweight or welterweight.
