Povetkin overpowers Charr in seven

Former WBA heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin (27-1, 19 KOs) scored a seventh round KO over former world title challenger Manuel Charr (26-2, 15 KOs) on Friday night at the Luzhniki Arena in Moscow, Russia.
Povetkin pressed the action and had a big edge in power shots. Charr was able to trouble Povetkin somewhat with his jab.
A Povetkin barrage finally dropped Charr in round seven and the bout was immediately waved off. The time was 1:09 of the round.
Povetkin wins the WBC International belt.
