Quigg to face Paulus Ambunda in Manchester on September 13
Scott Quigg (28-0-2, 21 KOs) will defend his WBA super-bantamweight title against Paulus Ambunda (21-1, 10 KOs) at the Phones 4u Arena in Manchester on September13.
Quigg will make the fourth defense of his 122-pound belt against Namibian Ambunda, who moved up a division after losing his WBO bantamweight belt 12 months ago.
The bill will also feature Manchester lightweight Anthony Crolla (28-4-1, 11 KOs), who faces Mexican Gamaliel Diaz (38-11-2, 17 KOs), a former WBC super-featherweight champion.
Promoter Eddie Hearn said: “We are excited to be back in Manchester in September for another big night.
“Scott is in scintillating form and ready to stamp his authority on the division, while Anthony has another tough fight against former world champion Diaz, who mixed with the likes of Robert Guerrero, Jorge Linares and Humberto Soto before travelling to Japan to win the WBC title.”
