Quigg to defend WBA title against Nehomar Cermeno on April 19
Scott Quigg (27-0-2) will make the next defence of his WBA super-bantamweight title against Nehomar Cermeno of Venezuela at the Phones 4u Arena Manchester on April 19.
The Bury boxer will take on the interim champion and mandatory challenger on a star-studded show which will be live on Sky Sports.
Cermeno brings a 22-5-1 slate with two of those losses coming in close world bantamweight title fights against the outstanding two-weight champion Anselmo Moreno.
The 34-year-old drew with Yoandris Salinas - the Cuban whom Quigg also drew with in their fight for the vacant title - over eight rounds in 2011.
Also appearing on the show will be Quigg's stablemate Anthony Crolla, who was forced to miss an intended outing in Glasgow on March 1 due to a cut in training.
Olympic champions Anthony Joshua and Luke Campbell are also set to be back in action as is former IBF bantamweight champion Jamie McDonnell.

"Scott Quigg is in the toughest fight of his career against mandatory challenger and interim champ Cermeno who already holds impressive victories over Cristian Mijares, who faces Leo Santa Cruz in March for the WBC crown and undefeated Oscar Escandon in his last outing.
