Britain's Stephen Smith (23-1, 13 KOs) will challenge undefeated Puerto Rican Jose Pedraza (21-0, 12 KOs) for his IBF super featherweight title on March 26 in New York.

Smith , 30, earned his world title shot when he stopped Italian Devis Boschiero in the 6th round in a elimination fight in September.

Pedraza, 26, won the vacant IBF belt by a one-sided points win over Russia's Andrey Klimov in June and then retained it by split decision over American Edner Cherry in October.

Lou DiBella, who is Pedraza's promoter, and Eddie Hearn, who is Smith's promoter, agreed on a deal and avoided a purse bid, which was scheduled to take place on Tuesday.

Smith will be bidding to join younger brother Liam, and become a world champion.

Liam Smith knocked out American John Thompson to claim the vacant WBO light middleweight title in October and then defended it when he stopped fellow Brit Jimmy Kelly earlier this month.

The fighting family of brothers also includes former world title challenger Paul Smith and super middleweight prospect Callum Smith.

All four brothers have won British titles.
