Paul Smith-Tony Dodson to fight on Matchroom's Bolton bill
Paul Smith (32-3) and Tony Dodson (29-7-1) will fight for the British super middleweight title on Matchroom's Bolton Arena bill on June 29 live on Sky Sports.
The two Liverpudlians first clashed for the belt in March 2010 when Smith claimed the title with a unanimous decision, now the pair meet three years later for the belt, which is currently vacant following Kenny Anderson's decision to relinquish the title, with defeat not an option for either fighter.
Matchroom's Eddie Hearn said "I'm delighted to add this fight to our show at Bolton Arena on June 29. It's a classic old school trade fight with plenty of pride on the line. Both fighters careers are on the line and I'm expecting a great scrap."
The Bolton bill is topped by the lightweight contest between Gavin Rees (37-2-1) and Anthony Crolla (25-4-1) while Lee Selby (15-1), Brian Rose (23-1-1), Thomas Stalker (3-0) and Dale Evans (6-1-1) are also in action.
