Ishe Smith's July 19 defence against Molina postponed
IBF light middleweight champion Ishe Smith (25-5) has pulled out of his scheduled first title defence on July 19 against Carlos Molina (21-5-2), citing a cut over his right eye suffered in training camp.
There's no word if the card, at the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Smith's hometown of Las Vegas, will still go ahead with two fights, Mickey Bey vs John Molina and Badou John vs Farah Ennis.
Smith, 34, who claimed the belt in February by winning a decision against Cornelius Bundrage, was to face Molina after the Mexican won a lopsided decision against former IBF titleholder Cory Spinks in a title eliminator to become Smith's mandatory challenger.
The fight, it appears, will be rescheduled.
