Erkan Teper (15-0, 10 KOs) knocked out British heavyweight David Price (19-3, 16 KOs) in the second round  on Friday night at the MHP Arena, Ludwigsburg, Germany.

The unbeaten German connected with a massive left hook that sent Price to the canvas and out cold.

Teper was landing hard shots from the start and bloodied Price’s left eye and mouth in the first round. Price occasionally threw some right hands, but Teper blocked most of them.

Then came the fight ending punch in the second and the referee waved off the bout at 0:52 of the round.

With the win, Teper won the vacant European heavyweight title.

The defeat is the third of Price's professional career, following a pair of knockout defeats by American Tony Thompson in 2013. Now his career, at least as a world championship contender, looks over.
