WBO lightweight champion Terry Flanagan (32-0, 13 KOs) will make his fifth title defence when he faces Petr Petrov (38-4-2, 19 KOs) on April 8 at the Manchester Arena.

Flanagan, who is coming off a eighth-round stoppage over Puerto Rican Orlando Cruz last November, won the world title in July 2015 when he defeated Jose Zepeda, who could not continue after the second round due to a dislocated shoulder.

The Manchester man has also successfully defended the WBO belt against Diego Magdaleno, Derry Mathews and Mzonke Fana.

Russia's Petrov has won his last six fights since a points loss to Dejan Zlaticanin, now the WBC champion.

Also on the card, Britain's Liam Smith (23-1-1, 13 KOs) returns to the ring after losing the WBO light middleweight title to Saul Alvarez by ninth-round KO in September, against unbeaten Welshman Liam Williams (16-0-1, 11 KOs) in a good domestic matchup.

Plus, two-time Olympic gold medalist Nicola Adams, who has recently signed with promoter Frank Warren, will make her professional debut when she fights in a flyweight bout.

Adams is also scheduled to appear on a May 13 card in her hometown of Leeds.
