WBA welterweight champion Keith Thurman (25-0, 21 KOs) impressed in beating Robert “The Ghost” Guerrero (32-3-1, 18 KOs) by a unanimous decision on Saturday night at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas.

Thurman dominated the action, dropping Guerrero in the 9th round and winning easily by scores of 120-107, 118-109 and 118-108.

Thurman came out very aggressively but Guerrero was not afraid to trade punches. A head clash in the third round left Thurman with a swelling on the left side of his forehead.

Thurman's punches were much harder and a left hand to the head sent Guerrero to the canvas in the 9th. Guerrero barely beat the count in getting up at the count of 9. However, Guerrero battled back, while bleeding from a cut over his left eye, all the way to the final bell.

Also on the card, Adrien “The Problem” Broner (30-1, 22 KOs) scored a lopsided unanimous decision over John Molina Jr (27-6, 22 KOs) in a light welterweight bout.

Broner completely outboxed his opponent and, other than Molina landing some decent shots in rounds three and five, he cruised to victory by scores of 120-108, 120-108, 118-110.
