Walsh vs Harrison set for April 20 at Wembley

Liam Walsh defends his WBO European lightweight title against former two-time World featherweight champion Scott Harrison on April 20 at Wembley Arena.

The fight will be the chief support to Nathan Cleverly's WBO light heavyweight title defence against Robin Krasniqi on Frank Warren's Rule Britannia bill live on BoxNation.

The 26-year-old Walsh (13-0) will be looking to extend his unbeaten record to keep alive his world title hopes after having a December fight against WBO lightweight champion Ricky Burns scuppered due to being injured in a car crash.

The 35-year-old Harrison (27-2-2), who made his comeback last year, racking up wins against Gyorgy Mizsei and Joe Elfidh, after well documented problems kept him out of the ring from 2005, now aims to become Scotland's first ever three-time world champion and knows a win against Walsh will give him a top-ten WBO ranking.

After being out of the ring for nearly 7 years it would be a big ask of Harrison to beat a young and fresh fighter like Walsh, who in his last fight in July, came up from super featherweight to stop Italian Domenico Urbano in 8 rounds to claim the EU title.
