Japan's unbeaten Takashi Uchiyama (20-0-1) retained his WBA super featherweight title with a spectacular one-punch knockout over previously unbeaten Venezuelan Jaider Parra (20-1-1) in the 5th round on Monday in Tokyo, Japan.

The champion put the pressure on from the start, throwing combinations as the challenger jabbed and moved well.

In the 5th, Uchiyama worked the body to stop Parra's mobility, though some shots strayed under the belt, so the referee Pinit Prayadsab gave him a warning. Then, Uchiyama connected with a vicious left hook to the body to send Parra down in agony and unable to get up at 2:15 of the round.

It was Uchiyama's 7th defence of the title and his 17th KO victory.
